Christmas 2017

We usually go out to Freeport for Christmas and so various family things with Alicia's extended family. This year, right after Christmas, the girls and I road tripped it down to D.C. where cousin/niece Hannah was getting married.

Christmas Eve.

Christmas morning - the long awaited entry into the present laden family room.

And Emmerson makes her entry - always a very exciting time. I remember when we were kids back in Cornwall - Eric, Ardis and I would go down stairs and get our stockings. Ardis would come into our room and we would empty out our stockings on our beds and make any necessary trades of items. Then mom and dad would get up and we would eat breakfast and then hit the presents. Then Grandma and Grandpa would come over for another round of presents and then lunch which was usually an assortments of sandwich meats and condiments. Sometimes mom would have to work which would always make for a curious schedule.

Full on into it.

Emmerson and her Harry Potter loot. She is about to experience the life event of coming to the close of her first epic reading adventure. I remember it with the Lord of the Rings and she is on the final pages of the final book in the Harry Potter series.

When we get back from Freeport we open presents from relatives and friends that have been under our tree. The kittens enjoy there own exciting elements of Christmas - lots of things to get after and attack and such.
